British Isles 

My favorite country in the world is the United Kingdom. It is easily my favorite place I have lived, and I did not leave out of choice but rather due to the anti-immigrant climate that has currently encapsulated the country. The history, the culture, the accents, and more, there is nothing (except for the politics...and ok, also the food) that I do not love about the UK. Britain always struck me as a good combination of Europe and America, taking the good from both and leaving the bad. I have spent significantly less time in Ireland, but from what I experienced the people there are even lovelier than their British cousins (they are nicer in person and at the ballot box!). And they have tastier food.
